I have been shooting for White Bull Clothing Co for three months now, and before that time I didn’t realize how much I truly needed this community in my life. It is so much more than a clothing boutique, it is an experience and feeling apart of a community. Every time we shoot together I leave feeling inspired, full of life and my face hurts from laughing and smiling so much. Surrounding myself with like minded entrepreneurs, positive souls and inspiring women is what every one needs in their life. White bull shoot day is easily my favourite day of the week. I love being full creative freedom to shoot their gorgeous clothing in beautiful spaces. Here’s a few (hundred) favs from our last shoot together this past week.

Every spring for the past four years I have done spring mini sessions at the Saskatoon Berry Farm in their beautiful greenhouses. These are by far my favourite sessions I do. I love all the colours, textures and plants in this space. I had 14 wonderful families/couples come out this past weekend and it was such a beautiful day making some amazing memories. I am forever so grateful for the support and love from this community and for my photography. It is so rewarding surrounding myself with so many lovely humans. Here are a few of my favourite sneak peeks from the day. This past weekend was exactly what I needed to refuel and feel inspired.

We woke up on a cloudy morning to the sound of the snow dripping off the roof tops and birds chirping in the distance. The mountains were misty with a light snow falling from the sky. These two shared their first look on the frozen lake surrounded by snowshoers enjoying the beautiful mountains. They exchanged their parents rings and wrote the most heartfelt vows to each other with mount burgess clear in the distance. They spoke of their love, desire and appreciation towards one another. Their closest friends and family travelled to celebrate the start of this incredible journey. This weekend was a dream. Not only because it was in the most surreal location, but because these two gave me their full trust from start to finish to create utter magic. Magic is the only way I can describe this weekend in the mountains.

Shawn + Alyssa were supposed to be married in Hawaii in the heart of the pandemic but the world had other plans for them and travel restrictions left them searching for a new way to celebrate. They found this beautiful bed and breakfast in the heart of the Longview rolling hills and it was the perfect spot to gather with their closest 30 family and friends.

This year, as Mother’s Day approaches, I am a little emotional as I think about my son and how everyday with him truly means so much to me. He was the first to call me mom, and now I get to happily celebrate this amazing day like I have always dreamed of doing. I never really understood how special this day was to a mother, until becoming one myself. The name “mom” doesn’t come easy to many.

Chantel + Casey were referred to me by one of my photography friend Lisa who is a Friggen talented photographer. I knew I had big shoes to fill with Chantel having a background in photography and her best friend also being a photographer. I am so thankful my paths crossed with these two because wow, they are two of my favourite humans together.

I am so happy I started shooting newborn sessions again three years ago. These sessions fill me up with so much joy. I especially love when toddlers are involved. It adds a whole new level of chaos and crazy to a quiet and sweet newborn session. I remember after I had my second son, I was expecting the same type of newborn experience that we had with our first born which was quick, easy, quiet and peaceful. Cuddling and just starring at our first born.

My love for these three almost four humans is so strong. Ashley has the kindest heart and is such a good friend. We have known each other since we were in elementary school but really bonded after having children and reconnecting. I am so excited to meet baby Needham #2 and love on her. Thank you so much to Kelly’s Kustom Homes for the use of the beautiful show home in Langdon, AB. This space was perfect for this intimate lifestyle maternity session in the heart of winter.

This recipe is my all time favourite. I totally cheat and use my bread machine to make these. Because honestly, it’s so dang easy and convenient to use. You can totally make this recipe if you don’t have a bread machine. Just find the perfect dough recipe and skip steps 1 through 4.

I love photographing Nova Rae Candle Co products. I have been working with Ashley from this candle company for over year now. Her products are why I dipped into branding photography and realized how much I really loved it. It has been fun to see how her products have evolved as well as my photography of her products.

I had the pleasure of meeting this sweet family last week and the minute I wanted into their home I knew it would be a memorable session. The sweetest little dude who taught me more about dinosaurs than I will ever know, a house flooded with neutral tones and natural light and the sweetest demeanour. I will never say this enough, I am so thankful for my job and the people I meet.

I met Megan through one of my past brides. Megan is best friends with her. But I remember before I even knew who she was, we followed each other on Instagram. I was shooting a wedding at a venue Megan worked at, which I had no idea. She came up to me and made me feel like I was a famous person and was just the kindest human I have ever met.

Baby Sofia was the most content little girl and happy doing whatever during her lifestyle newborn session last week. She is a lucky little one to be born into such a loving family. Their house was drenched with natural light and the prettiest scape of the Calgary city line. Which I knew I needed to include into her session. Here’s a few favourites from her newborn session.

AHHHHH. I just love these two so much. Their wedding was a dream to photograph and it was such a quiet, relaxed warm day. We did a first look in Fish Creek park followed by all the couples portraits and their family portraits before the ceremony. It was my first time photographing a Jewish wedding and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT. I learned so much and it was such a special day to be apart of. The energy, the love and the vibe was something I never want to forget. Here’s a few teasers from their day.

I started photographing branding sessions about a year ago and they are easily some of my favourite sessions to be apart of. I love seeing makers/business owners/entrepreneurs doing their thing and I’m just on the sidelines to capture the magic. Branding photography is such an important tool in advertising for your business. It allows your clients/customers see who is behind the brand and how it is done. These images are perfect to update your social platforms, your website and to reach prospect clients.

I have been longing to shoot out in the Dumhellar canyons for as long as I can remember. And it did not disappoint. It was hot, dry, and lots of climbing but all of it was so worth it for these images. I love this beautiful place and I can’t wait to shoot here again. It has so much character, colours and textures. I still can’t believe this is in the heart of Alberta.

Meeting sweet Sully and his family was such a dream. I remember walking into their home thinking WOW this is magical. It was filled with natural light, a jungle of house plants which is basically a photographers dream. Sully’s mama is an interior designer and wow did it show in this space. I love being able to incorporate peoples style and taste into their newborn photos. And I’m sure after looking through these images you’ll see how obsessed I was with that gallery wall with the “I love you too Honey Bunny” framed print. Sully’s relationship with his pup was already so strong and it was the cutest thing ever.

This is seriously one of my most memorable newborn sessions. It was so sweet, cuddly, intimate and quiet. Oakley is a proud big fur brother and wanted to be in on all aspects of the photoshoot with Baby Kingsley. Kingsley is the sweetest and just wanted to be held and cuddled the whole time. Which was totally okay by me because it adds so much emotion and love into the images.
