CHANTEL + CASEY KANANASKIS ENGAGEMENT

Chantel + Casey were referred to me by one of my photography friend Lisa who is a Friggen talented photographer. I knew I had big shoes to fill with Chantel having a background in photography and her best friend also being a photographer. I am so thankful my paths crossed with these two because wow, they are two of my favourite humans together. I can’t even wait for their Canada day wedding. They are so fun to be around. Their love is contagious and we literally just laughed the entire session. If you follow me on instagram, I am sure you were well invested in the BLUE or GREEN dress debate. Still a mystery and I swear I will never figure it out. Chantel bought this dress online, it was advertised as a blue velvet dress. In person, it was a blue velvet dress just as she wanted. iPhone photographs show the dress as blue as well. iPhone/Instagram videos show the dress as emerald green. My camera in raw shot the dress as emerald green also. Lisa’s camera (she shoots Canon and I shoot Nikon) shot the dress as emerald green as well. My editing edited the dress green. But the dress is actually blue. First world problems. WHAT COLOUR IS THE DRESS?!?!? I swear I will never know, or understand why this happened. Anyways, with some time and photoshop skills - we have a blue dress!

I absolutely love shooting in the mountains and anytime I have the opportunity I am just so grateful to make another trip west. I am still forever thankful that this is our backyard and so close to our home. I shared a few of my favourites below.
