ALYSSA + SHAWN KANANASKIS ENGAGEMENT

When Alyssa contacted me a few months before her wedding, I knew it was going to be something special and I needed to be apart of it. Alyssa + Shawn were supposed to get married in Maui at the end of this year, but COVID19 had other plans for them. They decided to still go forward with a wedding but instead of a beach and ocean view, they traded that in for a view of rolling hills with the rocky mountains in the distance at the sweetest bed and breakfast in Longview. I can't wait to share their wedding day with you, it was literally out of a dream. But first, I want to share their engagement session because it is one of my all time favourites. I met Shawn + Alyssa out in Kananaskis. Parked in a random parking lot and walked into this magical place. When we arrived the sun was tucked behind the clouds and it was a dark and moody evening. The last 5 minutes before it was about to set, the sun peaked through and it was one of the most magical moments of my photography career. I mean that in the least cheesy way possible. It really was wonderful. Shawn + Alyssa are the type of people who you just want to be best friends with. I secretly am going to force myself into their life and make them be my friends haha! Alyssa + Shawn are such kind and down to earth souls. They really are perfect for each other and spending time with them, always leaves you in a better place.
