I seriously never thought this day would come that I would sit down and actually blog an ENTIRE wedding. I’ve been trying to blog this wedding for a good three weeks, but get distracted or busy every time I go to do it. I’m sure you can imagine my excitement right now, as I’m getting close to hitting the “publish” button! I need to make blogging a priority but it’s so hard when you are busy editing, shooting, returning emails and being a mom! I’m so excited to be sharing THIS wedding with ya’ll. I loved getting the opportunity to work with Chet + Karen this past August for their wedding day. They had the most amazing country wedding at Chet’s family farm near Indus. I actually happened to spend a lot of time at this farm growing up as well, as Chet’s sister Tess has been a friend of mine since we were in Kindergarten.
I think they were married on the smokiest day we had this summer, but once you scroll through these photographs you’ll understand why I love them so much. The smokey haze made such beautiful overcast lighting. They had the most adorable flower girl who happens to be their daughter as well. She made me laugh all day, and every time I look back through their photographs I chuckle. Just wait until you see her facial expressions!
Thank you so much Chet + Karen for allowing me to be apart of your wonderful day! I hope you love reliving their wedding day as much as I did!
Words from the Bride + Groom:
“The best wedding advice we received was to be picky in choosing a photographer as the day goes by in such a blur, so you’ll want the moments captured and captured well. In reviewing the work of several recommended names, it became clear in a hurry who we were going to be picky in selecting. From our perspective, Miranda’s work over the years has shown her commitment to growth, challenge and adventure, on top of excellent skill. Working with her was nothing shy of that, although add in one sweet and thoughtful human. Our photos not only beautifully capture each moment, they bring the moment to life and tell a story. We have received compliment after compliment for our photos and I beam with a smile when I’m able to tell them that the real compliment goes out to Miranda and her amazing photography abilities. We are beyond pleased and most definitely look forward to having her capture more of our life’s moments in the future.”
