Baby Rogowski’s Nursery

When I found out I was pregnant, I think the second thing I was most excited about other than starting a family was to get design and decorate the nursery. While this was a work in progress, we didn’t get to start with the room as it was. We first had to replace the flooring, closet, ceiling and trim before we were able to start painting and decorating! As soon as we found out it was a boy, I knew exactly the theme I wanted to go with. Since our whole house is basically accented with mint and teals, I decided to change it up and do something totally different. I know our little boy will LOVE being outside and be adventurous like his dad so I decided to start him off early with a little taste of the outdoors. Buffalo plaid is currently my latest obsession as you can see with some of the accents in the room.

I wanted to share a few of my favorite details from the nursery with you guys! I am not able to share them ALL with you as a few details have his name included and we’re not ready to share that with anyone yet!

I have listed as many of the items I could below and where they can be found. We went with mostly small businesses for the details other than the big items that we had to purchase! I love supporting small local businesses and wanted to include as many of their items as possible! We have also been gifted some amazing pieces from friends and family for the nursery which I cannot picture ALL of them!! You all are AMAZING and we are forever grateful for your handmade and thoughtful gifts!

A HUGE shout out to Kayla at Noshi Nest for putting up with my constant requests and for basically sewing all my dreams come true! You’re amazing and I would be lost without you 🙂

The mountain mobile is hands down my favorite part of the whole nursery. I found the exact one I wanted online but it was in Europe for an insane price. I decided to try my hand at sewing and see how it went. I think it cost me a total of $10 all said and done to make this and I think I love it more because we handmade it with love! We used drift wood that we found from our baby moon in Tofino and Darcy used old fishing hooks from his tackle box to hang the pieces by fishing line!
