Being a creative is one of the greatest gifts I was ever granted. One of my favorite parts of starting my own business is being able to make it mine. Being able to hand chose the little details that show my personality by adding character to each part of my business. Ever since I was a little girl deciding my dreams, I always knew I wanted to have my own business. I wasn’t sure what, I just always had visions of my own space, filled with all my creative work, comfy lounge chairs, big white walls, detailed with teal blue everything. Although my dreams of my own creative space are not yet possible, now that my business is getting going I wanted to personalize as much as I can. I thought this would be easy… walk in to a couple craft stores + paper stores and come out with exact what I have envisioned. I wish… It has been so difficult. Matching teal blue might be the hardest thing ever, finding the “perfect file folder” is nearly impossible + finding ribbon that is somewhat the same color is a lost cause because it doesn’t exist. After numerous hours at these stores, online different paper companies + on etsy I was starting to get down on myself. I started thinking about changing my branding color in general because clearly teal blue wasn’t working out. I went shopping at Michael’s Craft Store + Staples last night and left feeling like I won the lottery. MATCHING teal blue ribbon, teal blue FILE FOLDERS, personalized thank-you STAMPS, gift tags and so much more! I just wanted to give you all a little glance into what my brand vision is and what it is going to become!!
Life lesson learned: Don’t underestimate the power of matching teal blue – it’s not as easy as it seems! I’d love to hear what you think of the beginning of my brand.
