Where do you picture your life?

I have been asking myself a lot of questions lately about where I want my life to end up and where I want to be in a year, in 5 years and in 10 years. Life is never certain; it will always throw you curve balls. But what I do know is certain is that if you set goals for yourself, you have something to work towards and look forward too. Who knows where any of us will be in 5 years, 5 years ago my biggest worry in the world was trying to get through high school and planning what grad dress I wanted to wear. Now my biggest worry is building a foundation for the rest of my life. Setting a career path for myself, and setting goals for myself to work towards. I never in a million years thought I would become a Dental Assistant, it was one of those spontaneous decisions that took me where I am today. But lately I have been digging down and asking myself if in 30 years I will regret how I chose to spend everyday of my life. Of course I love my job as a Dental Assistant and will always be one but I know that I want to do more with my life. I want to further my education and passion for something so close to my heart.  I have always been a artistic person. My passion for crafts when I was a child, my love for drawing and painting when I was a teenager and now my dream of photography has taken over. I want to end each day by knowing I had the best day each day. I want to do something I absolutely love and something that makes me so happy. I love the thrill of getting behind the camera, shooting a happy couple who’s expecting their first baby, or a couple who is absolutely smitten with each other and can’t stop dazing into each others eyes or something as simple as animals and nature. Its something about those special moments I am able to capture forever and share with people to keep for years to come. I love how happiness radiates off people. There is something amazing about seeing an owl and being able to look back on those photos. Thinking how awesome it was I was in the right spot at the right time.

Right now I am mainly focusing on my education and skills. I am going to SAIT to complete my photography certificate in hopes to be come a well known photographer! It is very important to build a portfolio and a brand that everyone will appreciate and enjoy. Only being about a month since my first ever session with real clients, things have really taken off. Over 150 likes on my Facebook page, followers on my blog and many inquires about my business – I couldn’t be more thankful for all the people in my life. Without all your support and faith in me, I wouldn’t be able to make this dream of mine come true. So THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

I decided if I want this dream to come true, I need to work at it. I have recently been working with an amazing shop I found on Etsy. We worked together to create my first ever business card design! How exciting. Vintage Sweet Design was exactly what I was looking for in a business card and we worked together to come up with something that suited me best! Please check her out on
